Alma's Recycling program is accomplished through a compartmentalized
recycling trailer exchange program ran by South Central Sanitation.
Trailers:
Two 2-sided Recycle Trailers (brown & green in
color)
One Enclosed Cardboard Trailer (white in color)
(South Street Location)
Recycling Drop-Off Locations:
Corner of Jewell and South Streets, south side of
South Street.
South Side of the Alma Public School, 515 Jewell
Street.
ALLOWABLE RECYCLING:
MILK JUGS – Please remove the caps, rinse and
smash the bottles
PLASTIC #1 AND #2 – Look on the bottom of all
plastic bottles and containers for these numbers. Please remove caps.
OFFICE PAPER – This is for WHITE ONLY
computer type paper. Any paper with color should go into newspaper bin.
NEWSPAPER – All newspaper and any colored
office type paper.
ALUMINUM – Please rinse and smash if
possible.
TIN – Typical fruit and vegetable cans,
please rinse.
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED:
GLASS - There is not a market for glass at
this time so it is not accepted.
MAGAZINES- There is not a local market for this item at
this time.
REMEMBER THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO THE TRAILER AND TWO
COMPARTMENTS FOR MOST ITEMS.
